Account Services > Adding Investment Options

  • If you currently have a CollegeAdvantage account, you can add additional investment options to your account online by accessing the My Account secure section of our Web site. Make a one-time contribution to the new option, and it is then added to your list of active investment options, and is also available for EFT or payroll deduction contributions.
  • If you prefer, an Investment Option Addition Form can be downloaded or ordered on the Forms page.

A variety of investment options available
CollegeAdvantage offers a wide variety of investment options from Vanguard, Fifth Third Bank, PIMCO, OppenheimerFunds and GE Asset Management  in order to appeal to the diverse needs of families saving for college. The Account Owner can add additional options to the account at any time to create a custom college savings portfolio. Each new investment option requires a minimum $25 contribution (or $500 for the Fifth Third CD option).

The Investment Option Addition Form will enable you to fund your new investment option(s) by check, one-time bank debit or automatic electronic funds transfer (EFT) from a bank account. A form needs to be completed for each beneficiary's account.

If you currently have a recurring Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) scheduled, be sure to add your new investment options. You can do so online by accessing your account online in the My Account section, or by completing a paper EFT Form, which can be downloaded or ordered on our Forms page.

If your employer participates in payroll deduction with CollegeAdvantage, you can complete a Payroll Deduction Form to initiate payroll deduction for your new investment options, or do so online from the My Account tab. You need your employer's CollegeAdvantage ID number; check with your employer for this number.

Please read the complete CollegeAdvantage Offering Statement and Participation Agreement booklet before investing or sending money.
