5 easy steps to offering payroll deduction

Complete a Corporate Agreement Form
This form is used to establish your online profile, and provides your authorization for CollegeAdvantage to process payroll deduction monies you submit.

Receive Employer Identification Number
Once you complete and return your Corporate Agreement form, you will be sent a confirmation including your new CollegeAdvantage Employer Identification Number (EIN) and the initial password for accessing your online employer account. Be sure to share your new Employer Identification Number with employees interested in payroll deduction. They will need this number to complete a Payroll Deduction Authorization Form and to start, stop or change deductions.

Activate your online employer account
You are now ready to go online and activate your account. Select the “Payroll Deduction for Employers” tab on this site. Enter your EIN and password to activate your account. The primary payroll administrator can also designate other employer administrators and users who will need access to your company’s information.

Select payment method
You can choose to submit your deduction two ways: by electronic fund transfer (EFT) or check. If submitting deductions by EFT, you will be able to pre-select the frequency of submission based on your pay periods, and enter your payment dates. The total deduction amount will then be withdrawn from your bank account on the dates you select.

If submitting deductions by check, you will also enter your pay periods and pre-select your payment dates. You will simply print a CollegeAdvantage voucher each time you are ready to send in deductions. The voucher already contains your employer information and a total deduction amount for all employee contributions for that pay period.  Pay periods are the dates you make the deductions, and payment dates are the dates you will send payments to CollegeAdvantage.

Educate your employees about CollegeAdvantage
CollegeAdvantage can help you educate your employees about the program’s benefits through presentations and free promotional materials. Employees can enroll in CollegeAdvantage and start payroll deduction online at Enroll Now, or you can request enrollment kits for interested employees. Representatives from CollegeAdvantage are also available to help educate your employees on the program. All enrollment applications and payroll deductions are sent to CollegeAdvantage, making the sign-up process easy for you.
