Dayton Dragons and Ohio’s 529 Plan Team Up For MVP Program
Now in its 15th year, the Dragons MVP Program is an educational tool for fourth- and fifth-grade teachers, helping them motivate and reward students for success in the classroom. The use and distribution of the awards offered are entirely up to each teacher. Each teacher is the sole judge in how to use the Dayton Dragons MVP 'tool' in their classroom.
Fourth- and fifth-grade teachers throughout the Miami Valley (Clark, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, and Warren counties) receive Dragons MVP award kits to recognize five students whom they have selected from their classroom.
Each of the five students selected as a Dragons MVP in their classroom will receive a certificate, Dragons MVP specially designed hat, tickets to a Dragons game, and entry to win great prizes, including one of six $529 CollegeAdvantage 529 Direct Plan College Savings Awards. In addition to these items, they also have the opportunity to have their success story highlighted on Dragons social media, in the Dayton Daily News, and in PlayBall!
The Dragons MVP program has reached over 420,000 students since its inception in 2005 and continues to grow each year.
