Ohio 529 Joins Cuyahoga Falls Library For Summer Reading Program
Ohio’s 529 Plan, CollegeAdvantage, proudly supports many statewide outreach programs to encourage young, bright minds to see all of life’s educational possibilities.
This summer, we are partnering with the Cuyahoga Falls Library to support their Summer Reading Program and support families to read over the summer break and hopefully stop the “summer slide.”
Cuyahoga Falls Library is offering the “Oceans of Possibilities” summer reading program from May 27 – August 6. And the reading program is not just for children! Teens and adults are also encouraged to sign up for the program to grow their knowledge. Teens will help decide what new books, programs and technology to add to the library. Adults will have community program events to sit in on as such health, music, and fitness, as well as learn about all the resources CFL offers like career development and technology training.
All participants are encouraged to read 20 minutes daily and then track how much time you’ve actually spent in a book, whether it’s a fiction, non-fiction, graphic novel, magazines, comic books or even an audiobook! And the book doesn’t have to be one that you checked out of the library; it can be one from home as well.
All participants who have meet the goal can enter to win weekly prizes as well as grand prize drawings, which include Kindles and tablets. Just log your reading minutes or ask a librarian to help add those minutes.
Cuyahoga Falls Library will also have many fun programs to support the summer reading program.
To sign up for the Oceans of Possibilities” Summer Reading program, go online to cuyahogafallslibrary.org/srp/summer-reading-program-registration or visit your library at 2015 3rd Street.
