Toledo Mud Hens Home Run Readers Winner Heather Shapaka with Ohio 529 Executive Director Trisha Good

Ohio’s 529 Plan, CollegeAdvantage, was pleased to join the Toledo Mud Hens and Toledo Lucas County Library again to support Home Run Readers and help students and their families keep their reading skills strong over summer break with fun prizes from the Mud Hens.

One lucky Mud Hens reader received the grand prize of a $2,500 college savings award to add a CollegeAdvantage Direct 529 account. The winner, Heather Shapaka, is planning to split the college savings award among her family’s Ohio 529 accounts.

Heather was joined by her family at Fifth Third Field for her check presentation at the Sept. 15 win against the Columbus Clippers. Trisha Good, executive director for Ohio’s 529 Plan presented Heather her check. Heather’s family then enjoyed the rest of the game.
