2023 Cincinnati Reds College Savings Grand Slam winner Claire Wright and her family accept her check from Ohio's 529 plan Executive Director Trisha Good.

The Cincinnati Reds and Ohio’s 529 Plan, CollegeAdvantage, teamed up again in 2023 to help Reds fans hit it out of Great American Ball Park for their higher education goals.

One lucky Reds fan received a grand prize of a $10,000 college savings award to load the bases for their Ohio Direct 529 account. The winner, Claire Wright, applied the college savings award to her children’s Ohio 529 accounts.

Claire, her husband, Josh; their children, Jaxon and Raegan; Teresa Wright, and Carol Feeney joined Ohio’s 529 Plan and the Reds for the award presentation at the Sunday, Sept. 24 win against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Trisha Good, the executive director of Ohio’s 529 Plan, handed Claire her check on the field. The second-place winner, Penne Huckleberry, and third-place winner, Andrew Sodergren, also won tickets to this game.
