Anyone can contribute to a child's CollegeAdvantage Direct Plan account. If you don't want to open a college savings account of your own for the child (like your grandchild, niece or nephew), you can simply write and send a check to add to their existing account. This makes it easy for everyone, like grandparents, other family members, and even friends, to give the lasting gift of education. Here's how:
1) Ask the parents of the child (or the Account Owner) for their CollegeAdvantage Direct Plan account number.
2) Write your check (made payable to Ohio Tuition Trust Authority), and mail it to the address below. (Don't forget to include the CollegeAdvantage Direct Plan account number for the child on the memo line of your check.)
Send your gift contribution check to:
CollegeAdvantage Direct 529 Savings Plan
P.O. Box 219305
Kansas City, MO 64121-9305
3) Choose the gift announcement below that matches the occasion you're celebrating. Then print, sign and present your gift to that special child in your life. (Certificates print in color and fit folded as a letter in a standard business envelope.)
