The office of Ohio 529 CollegeAdvantage will be closed on Monday, Jan. 19, in observance of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Our Customer Service Department will also be closed for the holiday. Our Customer Service representatives are available to assist you on regular business days from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET before or after the holiday.  You can reach them at 1-800-AFFORD-IT (800-233-6734).

While our office may be closed, you can always open an account online over the holiday weekend to start saving for education after high school.

If you are already an Ohio 529 account owner, you can log in to complete transactions online as usual or use the READYSAVE 529 app.

With the READYSAVE 529 app, you can access your account information, track account growth, and make both one-time and recurring contributions all from your cell phone. And you can now open an Ohio 529 account on the phone as well as arrange to make an electronic 529 withdrawal to pay for your child’s qualified higher education expenses. You must have your bank account already listed on your 529 account to send the withdrawal to it. The other option when you make the withdrawal on the app is to have it sent directly to your child’s school. The institution of higher education must be able to receive the electronic fund transfers from your Ohio 529 account.

You can download the READYSAVE 529 app now from the Apple and Google Play app stores. Once you install the app, select Ohio’s 529 Plan from the list and log in with the same username and password you use to access your account online.

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) will also be closed on Monday, Jan. 19, 2024. Any transaction requested on a holiday, weekend, or after the NYSE closes will be processed on the next business day.
