Ohio’s 529 Plan, CollegeAdvantage, partnered again with the Dayton Metro Library to support the 2023 Summer Challenge to encourage families as they help their children develop and grow a love for reading.
At the end of the challenge, one lucky participant was randomly selected to win a $2,529 college savings award to add to or open an Ohio 529 account. This year’s winner was Noah Hairston, who participated in the program at the Huber Heights branch. She plans to study to be an engineer like her mother.
Noah and her parents were presented their check on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at the Huber Heights branch of Dayton Metro Library. Their family were also on hand to celebrate with Noah, along with special guests Heater from the Dayton Dragons and Rudy Flyer from University of Dayton Flyers. Rudy and Heater also took a few minutes to read as well.
All DML Summer Challenge participants won free books and totes to continue to spark their love of reading.
