Watch Your Account Grow With Generous Gifts

It's Easy To Receive Gifts With Ohio's 529 Plan

Consider asking for college savings contributions in place of gifts for baby showers, birthdays, holidays, graduations and many other milestones and occasions in your child's life. Grandparents, aunts and uncles and even family friends can add to your account and contribute to your child's future in a very meaningful way. Receiving gifts is simple.

Get your Ugift code

Ugift® makes it easy for anyone to contribute to a CollegeAdvantage Direct Plan account. As the account owner, you can suggest a savings gift, and simply give your unique Ugift code to family and friends. The gift giver can make one-time or recurring electronic contributions at any time, as easy as 1-2-3.

  1. Log in to your account and choose Ugift
  2. Get a unique Ugift code for each of your beneficiaries
  3. Give the code to family and friends and direct them to www.Ugift529.com

Receiving Gift Contributions By Check?

It's easy to apply these gifts to your college savings plan too. Just pass on the information below to your friends and family and they can contribute by mailing a check.

  • Your CollegeAdvantage Direct Plan 11-digit account number for the specific beneficiary
  • The payee name (make checks payable to): Ohio Tuition Trust Authority
  • The mailing address where the payment will be sent:
    CollegeAdvantage Direct 529 Savings Plan
    P.O. Box 219305
    Kansas City, MO 64121-9305

Once the gift contribution is received for your CollegeAdvantage account, it will be allocated among your investment options according to the "Contribution Allocations" instructions on file with your account. To verify or change your account allocation instructions, log in to your Direct Plan account and go to "Allocation Management, Contribution Allocations."

Non-account owner gift givers do not receive contribution receipts. Those who give gift contributions directly to a CollegeAdvantage account must keep their own records of contributions for Ohio tax deduction purposes.
