Eric A. Braun, JD
Eric Braun serves as Executive Director of Development and Special Assistant to the President for Government Relations at Shawnee State University, and is Executive Director of the Shawnee State University Development Foundation.
Braun joined Shawnee State University in 2009. In his leadership role with the Development Foundation, he manages the university endowment, all annual giving and scholarship programs, and serves as the Foundation’s chief financial officer.
A Portsmouth, Ohio native and graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law, Braun practiced law for eight years in North Carolina before returning to the area. From 1991 to 2005, he developed a number of commercial media projects, including news and public affairs programming and a nationally syndicated radio network. In addition to his law degree, he holds a bachelor’s degree in politics from Wake Forest University and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Higher Education at Ohio University.
Braun also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Shawnee State University and chairs the institution’s Economic & Workforce Development Team. He formerly served as President of the Rotary Club of Portsmouth, of which he is currently a member, and serves on the Ohio State University South Endeavor Center Council.
